Hi, have we met?
I’m Lori – clothing & accessories designer turned professional vintage shopper.
Fischer Goods began out of a desire to inspire sustainable shopping practices and celebrate the timeless beauty of vintage clothing. Sustainability is the conscious commitment to nurturing the delicate balance between human needs and the health of our planet.
Shopping preloved items is one small way in which we can help support that balance. (Plus, so many vintage pieces are beautiful, covetably-stylish, and made with high-quality materials like silk, linen, and cotton!)
I want you to feel great in your clothes – and feel great about where they come from.
I was born and raised in Iowa – the daughter of an amazingly talented seamstress, and the granddaughter of farmers. This Midwest upbringing taught me early on a love for clothing & design, and an appreciation for nature & the stewardship of natural resources.
After graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in Apparel Merchandising, Production & Design, I moved to LA where I worked for 16 years at multiple west coast brands as a clothing and accessories designer. In 2017, I returned to Iowa and created Fischer Goods. I now create one-of-a-kind home goods from repurposed materials and naturally-dyed fabrics, and act as a personal shopper for clients seeking thrifted pieces that help them accomplish their dream style.
I live & work in Phoenix, AZ with my husband, Matt, and our goldendoodle, El Dorado. I shop for clients all over the country.
